An expert in hand surgery, Dr. Mir Bulló is the current Director of the Upper Extremity and Hand Microsurgery Unit at Dexeus University Hospital, Barcelona. He is a consultant in sports medicine, and he has treated many bikers, including: Àlex Crivillé, Dani Pedrosa, Marc Márquez, Joan Lascorz and Jorge Lorenzo, among others. According to Forbes Magazine, 2017, he is considered one of the best trauma physicians in Spain.
Professional experience
With over 25 years’ experience, he has balanced his work as Head of the Upper Extremity and Hand Microsurgery Unit at ICATME (Dexeus U.H.), Head of the Upper Extremity Unit at Vall d´Hebrón University Hospital and Head of the MotoGP™ Medical Team.
- He is currently Head of the Upper Extremity and Hand Microsurgery Unit at ICATME, Dexeus University Hospital in Barcelona (September 1992 - present).
- Member of the MotoGP™ (Dorna Sports) Medical Team since March 2012 to present.
- Doctor of the KTM-Repsol team in the Dakar races between December 2005 and January 2009.
Research and teaching
- Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Trauma Medicine at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (from March 1998 to present).
- He has published 22 indexed international articles, 51 national articles, approximately 300 presentations and 10 book articles.
