Dr. Rogelio Carratalá Baixauli is a specialist in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology with a clinical and academic profile focused on hand, wrist, elbow and upper limb surgery, with a particular subspecialty interest in shoulder surgery (arthroscopic, reconstructive and arthroplasty). He completed his MIR residency in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology at Hospital Clínico Universitario de Valencia (2011-2016).
He works as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Hand and Upper Limb Unit of Quirónsalud Valencia, and has served as Referral Traumatologist for the regions of Valencia and Castellón at Asepeyo (Mutua Colaboradora de la Seguridad Social), managing complex occupational orthopaedic and trauma pathology.
His practice is particularly focused on shoulder arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery, shoulder arthroplasty, arthroscopic and open surgery of the wrist and elbow, and the management of upper limb sports and occupational injuries. He is Director of the Valencia Shoulder Challenge, an advanced shoulder surgery course, and a regular faculty member of national and international upper limb surgery courses, including cadaver and dry-lab training programmes.
