Clinical area
Nationally, Dr. Fernández Rañada is one of the leaders and pioneers of bone marrow transplantation, as well as being President of the National Transplant Commission (Advisory Body of the Ministry of Health for Haematopoietic Transplants).
Among his many achievements, he is a Commander of the Civil Order of Health and President of the National Commission of Medical Specialities, specifically Haematology and Haemotherapy.
