Dr. C. A. Calero Polanco is a specialist in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology with a clinical profile highly focused on knee surgery. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology at Hospital Clínico Universitario de Valencia (2011-2016), and combines more than 10 years of experience across the Spanish public hospital system, occupational mutua and private hospital environments.
As Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Knee Unit of Hospital Quirónsalud Valencia, his practice is centred on a high-volume, subspecialty-focused knee approach: primary and revision knee arthroplasty (including robotic-assisted and patient-specific techniques), advanced knee arthroscopy, anterior cruciate ligament and complex ligament reconstruction, knee osteotomies and joint-preservation surgery, and treatment of cartilage pathology.
He has also developed expertise in interventional musculoskeletal ultrasound, having completed the full SEMED-FEMEDE certification pathway up to expert level in ultrasound-guided interventionism. He combines clinical practice with international training and active participation in surgical education programmes.
